Okay, so my show was December 13th in Amsterdam Ziggo Dome.

I went to work late so I did not have to waste any time waiting for trains or getting there early because it was seated of course! I went together with my Mum and we took the train from my hometown and went there just outside of rush hour as it was busy and darn it was so cold! Really festive. We ate a quick meal and desert too, lovely. Then onto the venue and we got there and so many people dressed up in Christmas clothes or glitter things and such, it was amazing. SO MANY HOTTIES. I could not stop looking at them and it was such an amazing atmosphere.

My mum and I came there around 8 or so, so we just had a little of the opening/DJ and just sat there. Of course, I checked merch which was kitsch, very Mariah like and the only good thing was the sweater but that was €60 so sadly, no. Then it was supposed to start around 9 but Mariah, a known diva, started at 9:30. A bit of a problem to me because I had a date after but other than that usually not an issue. However, we Dutchies do not like to wait so she was treated with a whistle concert but that soon faded and the venue did ‘waves’ while waiting.

Then finally she started and it was so festive! What a spirit and amazing stage. She sang very well, I was impressed to say the least and expected way worse. The sound is always amazing in Ziggo Dome, I am so lucky. Perhaps it was some tingling here or there but why would I bother try to check that during a concert? No – I was here to enjoy the show.

I think the setlist was OK. I’m more of an uptempo person so the slow ones were a bit meh but expected with this show’s theme, still here for the bops and nice songs, and it’s Christmas after all. I do think the heavy Christianity themed parts were a bit too much (just not a fan of that but alright). Enjoyed the choir, really gave me some Sister Act vibes and all those funny dances, it brought a great smile on my face and enjoyed that spirit. The Lord & Jesus bopped along. Also the small kid his part, he did a good job with the medley. Really glad she did Hero and We Belong Together, although some other reviews said that was bad (like how?). My favourites were Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) and All I Want For Christmas Is You, how generic right. But she’s a legend and I liked it.

The reviews I read were generally favourable and she said she would return for the Caution Tour next year, but I think I’ll skip that. I am very glad I saw here and we were pretty close. It wasn’t sold out as I saw people at the ticketing office in front of the venue and inside of course, but sold pretty good I think over all. Really glad I went although it was a bit expensive but worth it for seeing her up pretty close (still way cheaper than scammer Cher). Glad I can cross her off my list! And my mum also enjoyed it, we had a fun night out.

And then the date after was good, we went to bar, had some drinks and was a sweetie I thought but he said the next day that we’re too different and he somehow isn’t feeling it, welp… So… thank u, next and I decided to arrange a date with another cutie on Saturday, which went well.
