Okay, so let me think back of this show and review it a little. I tried to sell my tickets but there was an influx of tickets everywhere and selling at like 10€ a ticket so I wouldn’t get my 40€ a ticket back in a million years, so I just went.

I got there together with my mum, a gift for Mother’s day and her birthday (close each other). Our family had a rough past months, due both my grandparents passing away sadly. So this was some nice time off and something to take our minds of our grieving.

We took the train, ate a bit unhealthy as our night out and got there. The view was alright. The venue felt a bit empty but it was still a bit early. We stood after the only ones being a bit larger than the crowd of teenage girls and then they went to get drinks and moved to the left, so I could see over it all. The opening act, Drax Project was quite good actually. I heard that one song (their hit) and that was good, so I thought lets get surprised. I liked their opening a lot and they were pleasant to listen to, I’ll stream them a bit.

Then Camila comes on and the enormous wave of phones was insane. I guess it gets worse at a crowd like this. But then finally I see her a bit and she looked very good. I was surprised by her vocals, they were quite good! She really gave a show. Much better than when I saw Fifth Harmony and her (this seems weird) in the same venue some time ago. Such an improvement.

As far as the setlist, it was quite good. She Loves Control was the second track and made into a moment. The backdrops ‘story’ was a tad cheap and trying to get that into a story, no ma’am – it was clearly for a different audience. The only real dud was Scar Tissue to me, just a bit boring. And the monologue she did before it was so… Transparent? Her “has anybody been hurt here” towards a bunch of teenage girls, their dads and some gays? The public was a little GP but not much. Then somewhere came a random gay shout-out I think but I can’t remember what she said, except it was extremely forced and felt like OK gotta say thanks to the biggest disposable income group.

Know No Better and Into It were great closers before the interlude. Really pumped up the venue and me, lost my wig! I liked that there was a kind of dance off in the middle of the stage there with those. Also her bringing her sister on and some friends was kinda cute (but random). Then ending with Havana was what we had all been waiting for!

Overall I was pleasantly surprised by the vocals, show and all-in-all I was quite happy that I decided to go. She’s getting there, this was quite good for a first tour as solo artist – she’ll get there with the right material I think.
